Abstract
The role of Justice collaborators and Whistleblower is urgenly needed to assist law enforcement officials in uncovering cases such as criminal acts of corruption, but on the other hand , there is a big risk that must be borne by a justice collaborator and Whistleblower, so it is very necessary to have legal certainly for justice collaborator and Whistleblower to provide feel safe, comfortable, and free from threats or intimidation and discrimination. On this basis, this study focuses on the urgency of legal protection for justice collaborator and Whistleblower in criminal acts of corruption. The purposes of this study is to analyze how legal protection is for justice collaborator and Whistleblower in corruption cases. This research method ia a type of normative legal research (legal reserach). The approach method uses 2 (two) types, namely the statute approach and the conceptual approach. The results of this study found that there are still a number problematic issues that lead to less than optimal legal protection for justice collaborator and Whistleblower, namely : First, the need for equalization of perceptions and synchronization of existing regulations for law enformcement officials in understanding aspects of witness protection. Second, even though there are already several existing arragements related to justice collaborator and Whistleblower, in the criminal procedure code there are still no regulations that specifically, clearly and definitely regulate the protection of a justice collaborator and Whistleblower.
