Abstract
CV. Mastekindo is a company engaged in the assembly and distribution of Gardiner branded TV Parabola decoders. From the results of initial observations when conducting research it is known that in the production process of the Parabola TV Decoder in this production process there are still obstacles or activities that do not provide additional value to the company. Therefore, waste identification is carried out using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) method and the tools used are: Pareto Diagram, Fishbone diagram and further research is carried out using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method in order to be able to provide suggestions to minimize the occurrence of this waste. Onthe plan stage, from the data on the Parabola TV Decoder product which was obtained in August there were 9 types of waste, namely:Environmental Health, and Safety (EHS) (14%), Overproduction (10%), Waiting(11%), Transportation (14%), Extra processing (15%), Unnecessary inventory (9%) Unnecessary motion (12%) , Defects(11%), Non-Utilized Resources (6%).Then by using a cause and effect diagram it can be seen the factors that cause this type of wasteextra processing is from the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the company.Do Stage After knowing the causes of the type of waste, determine goals and objectives in corrective actions and identification of waste and assisted by tools 5W + 1H.In the check phase, using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) tools, the main causes of this type of waste are foundextra processingwhich is a priority for repairs with the highest RPN value among other causes, namely 360.The next stage is the Action stage, at this stage quality control is carried out in the form of giving suggestions in the form of redesigning SOPs on the production floor Keywords: PDCA
