Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan kebutuhan penting, semua peralatan membutuhkan energi listrik. Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat, sehingga energi terbarukan sangat dibutuhkan. Pada Kawasan Wisata Surodadu Pacet terdapat aliran air terjun setinggi 4 meter yang berpotensi untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro. Sehingga peneliti akan merancang alat mikrohidro dan menganalisa pengaruh jumlah sudu dan sudut sudu turbin kaplan terhadap performa dengan tujuan mendapatkan variasi terbaik. Metode dalam penelitian ini meliputi pembuatan alat, pengambilan data, dan analisa. Variasi yang digunakan yaitu jumlah sudu 3, 4, 5 dan sudut sudu 40°, 50°, 60°. Hasil analisa didapat kesimpulan bahwa hasil performa alat mikrohidro dengan turbin variasi jumlah sudu 5 dan sudut sudu 60° menghasilkan daya output terbesar yaitu 69,6 watt menghasilkan efisiensi turbin terbesar yaitu 22,4%, dan efisiensi PLTMH terbesar yaitu 31,6%. Hal ini dikarenakan air yang masuk dapat sempurna menghantam seluruh bagian sudu turbin sehingga gaya dorong yang terjadi semakin besar sehingga menghasilkan putaran yang tinggi. Semakin tinggi putaran yang dihasilkan maka daya dan efisiensi akan semakin meningkat.
