Abstract
Aluminium merupakan logam yang memiliki sifat ringan, tahan korosi, dan konduktor. Dalam penelitian ini, material yang digunakan adalah paduan aluminium komposit – pasir besi lokal dengan teknik squezze questing. Penelitian ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi komposisi pasir besi 7%, 8%, 9% material pada aluminium 6061 dan dengan variasi holding time 1 jam dan 2 jam dengan pengujian kekerasan, struktur mikro dan pengujian impact pada perlakuan panas T6 aluminium 6061- pasir besi material komposit. Hasil dari uji kekerasan rockwell B menunjukan bahwa nilai kekerasan tertinggi pada variasi pasir besi 7% tanpa perlakuan panas sebesar 61,4 HRB dan yang paling terendah nilai kekerasan di variasi 9% tanpa perlakuan panas sebesar 51,5 HRB. Hasil uji impact didapati bahwa seiring dengan kenaikan waktu penahanan dan komposisi yang diberikan pada Aluminium terjadi penurunan energi impact dan yang terendah pada waktu penahanan 2jam sebesar 2,5 joule. Dan yang tertinggi tanpa perlakuan panas variasi 9% sebesar 4,3 joule energi impact semakin tinggi dan menyebabkan benda menjadi kuat. dan untuk harga impact sendiri tertinggi tanpa perlakuan panas pada variasi 7% sebesar 0,101 J/mm². dan terendah pada variasi 8% dengan aging 200 ºC penahanan 2 jam sebesar 0,60 J/mm² Hasil Uji Mikro menunjukan ukuran diameter butir terkecil terletak pada variasi 9% dengan aging 200ºC, waktu penahanan 1 jam sebesar 85,436 µm dan ukuran diameter terbesar terletak pada variasi 1% tanpa perlakuan panas sebesar 133,86 µm. Struktur mikro dengan pendistribusian pasir besi pada Al (matriks) terlihat tidak merata dan terlihat penggumpal pada setiap titik tertentu. Hal ini menyebabkan rata – rata batas butir tidak selalu naik maupun tidak turun.
