Abstract

Teknologi informasi telah berkembang pesat, sehingga muncul berbagai jenis sim card yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk menyimpan informasi pribadi. Namun, gangguan keamanan dapat memicu kebocoran data pribadi yang dapat dijual di berbagai situs dan media sosial, seringkali dimanfaatkan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan. Kerugian materil dan imateril yang dapat dialami pemilik data pribadi tentu dapat dirasakan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melindungi hak privasi setiap orang terkait dengan data pribadinya. Sebagaimana Hak atas perlindungan data pribadi telah dijamin oleh Undang- undang sebagaimana termaktub didalam pasal 28G UUD 1945. Pendekatan yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan (Statute Aproache) dan pendekatan konseptual digunakan untuk mengkaji perlindungan hukum data pribadi dari akibat kebocoran sim card. Hasil penelitian diharapkan memberikan solusi dan pandangan berdasarkan hukum Indonesia yang belum mengatur secara khusus mengenai perlindungan data pribadi. Disamping itu perlu adanya standar keamanan yang didukung dengan menyediakan wawasan yang dapat digunakan oleh penyelanggara jasa telekomunikasi dan individu untuk meminimalkan risiko kebocoran data pribadi dalam hal mencegah dan mengendalikan kebocoran data pribadi
