Abstract

Di dalam hubungan yang terjadi di dalam lapisan masyarakat telah terjadi hubungan satu sama lain yang dimana hubungan tersebut didasari pada adanya kepentingan yang mana kepentingan antara satu sama lain tersebut saling berhubungan, berhadapan, dan juga berlawanan sehingga tidak menutup kemungkinann juga akan memunculkan suatu kericuhan. Untuk menciptakan ketertiban terkait dengan persaingan para pelaku usaha tersebut, maka dibutuhkanlah seseorang yang bisa mengatur bagaimana jalannya suatu persaingan usaha maka dibentuklah lembaga yang bernama Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) yang sekaligus berperan untuk menegakkan Undang-Undang Nomor 5 Tahun 1999 tentang Larangan Praktek Monopoli dan Persaingan Usaha Tidak Sehat. Apabila para pelaku usaha yang sedang menjalankan usahanya telah terbukti melakukan praktek monopoli dan persaingan usaha tidak sehat, maka KPPU berhak untuk memberikan sanksi kepada pelaku usaha tersebut.
