Abstract

The phenomenon of quarter life crisis (qlc) that occurs in early adulthood which cannot be overcome properly will affect the psychological well being condition of individuals in optimizing all their abilities, so this is important to study. The aim is to determine the relationship between problem focused coping and optimism with psychological well being in early adulthood who are in the quarter life crisis phase. The study was conducted on 115 participants with an age range of 18-29 years who were in the quarter lofe crisis phase. The sampling technique uses incidental sampling. Using Ryff's (1996) psychological well being scale, Carver's (1989) problem focused coping scale, and Seligman's (2005) optimism scale. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis techniques with the help of SPSS 25 for windows with the results showing that problem focused coping and optimism correlated with psychological well being in early adulthood who are in the quarter life crisis phase.
