Abstract
In building construction, there is a design and budget plan that has the possibility of reviewing it. This review is aimed at seeking cost efficiency by identifying, increasing design efficiency, and or seeking design alternatives. This is an option because in the construction of a project there are many choices regarding materials, labor, and dimensions of beams and columns, while the availability of funds is limited. In this study, the Country Heritage Resort Surabaya Hotel Development Project was selected as the object of research. This building is located in Surabaya. This building is planned to have 4 floors. During the interview session, the implementation team from Hotel Development said that the construction of the building structure was overdesigned. After reviewing the location, from a visual point of view, the dimensions of the columns and beams are too large, where the main dimensions are 50 x 50 for columns and 75 x 50 for beams. Therefore the authors try to find alternative designs that are more efficient in terms of strength and cost. In preparing this final project, the author will review the design and look for alternatives to the main structural design of the Country Heritage Resort Surabaya Hotel Development Project which refers to SNI 2847:2019 and 1726:2019.
