Abstract

The purpose of this research is to gain a clear picture of how far does the accounting policy of real estate developing activity which is implemented by PT.Wahana Central Purabox and to analyze how is the process of real estate developing activity at that company. Besides, the writer is willing to compare the accounting theory used at that company with the theory which was learned by the writer during her study and accounting principle which is generally accepted. The method used in this research was qualitative analysis method (descriptive). The data was gained by conducting an interview, documentation, and literature. From the result of the research which has been conducted, it showed that PT. Wahana Central Purabox has implemented accounting method in company financial report, yet PT. Wahana Central Purabox used full accrual method under condition that must be fulfilled as existed in PSAK No. 23 which was issued by IAI. PT. Wahana Central Purabox has classified the cost into project cost and company operational cost and used cost estimation expenses inside the expenditure structure. Thus, the cost allocation mechanism made by the company are not in accordance with the applicable provisions Keywords: PSAK No. 23 No 34, Real Estate, Income and Expenses
