Abstract

One of the problems in the environment is waste. In daily life, most peopledisposeof waste without sorting it according to its type. Waste become an economicitemwhen it is grouped and collected in suf icient quantities for trading. Here it canbeseen how important the Waste Bank is as a community forumfor recyclingwasteand generating additional household income. The purpose of this study is to determine the comparison of people's incomebefore and after the construction of a waste bank. This research uses quantitativeresearch methods. Data collection techniques in this study used interview, questionnaire, observation, and documentation techniques. The number of samplesstudied were 60 customers of the waste bank of Buduran Village, BuduranDistrict, Sidoarjo Regency. The analysis technique in this study uses the T-test of Two-sampledif erence test method. based on the results of the t-test using paired samples statistics, the valueof thitung is greater than t tabel (24,659>1,672). it can be concluded that HAisaccepted and Ho is rejected, it means that there is a dif erences between beforeandafter the construction of the waste bank. the level of dif erence in the amount ofincome before and after the construction of the waste bank based on the test resultsof the average income after the construction of the waste bank is 2870908.33, greater than before the construction of the waste bank, which was 2610000.00. thenthe level of dif erence in the amount of income before and after the constructionofthe waste bank can be concluded to be greater than before the constructionof thewaste bank.
