Abstract

Mesin bubut merupakan sebuah mesin perkakas yang digunakan untuk membentuk benda kerja dengan prinsip benda kerja dicekam lalu diputar oleh spindle dan pahat bergerak memotong benda kerja sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Untuk mengubah kecepatan putar pada motor spindle maka perlu dilakukan penyetingan pada variable frequency drive yang ada pada mesin tersebut. Peran motor induksi sebagai penggerak spindle maka akan terjadi masalah ketika dibebani dengan jenis material yang berbeda dan juga akan berpengaruh ketika motor spindle diberkan frekuensi dengan 20,30 dan 40 Hz. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya konsumsi daya listrik pada motor spindle ketika dibebani dengan material Baja St41 dan material kuningan dengan frekuensi kecepatan di 20,30,dan 40 Hz. Proses pengujian dilakukan di mesin Hydraulic Lathe Lc30 di PT Environeer pada saat produksi body anchor 4040 series. Setelah diketahui besarnya konsumsi daya listrik pada motor spindle maka akan diketahui persentase pada kecepatan regulasi yang terjadi. Dari hasil pengukuran maka proses dengan menggunakan frekuensi 20 Hz lebih rendah penggunaan daya listrik dan semakin besar frekuensi yang diberikan maka semakin kecil persentase kecepatan regulasi yang terjadi. Namun untuk hasil yang lebih baik maka diperlukan pengujian lebih lanjut terkait pengaruh jenis pahat yang digunakan dan jumlah waktu yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan satu benda kerja body anchor 4040 series.
