Abstract

The development of the times, especially in augmented reality technology has become one of the developments of learning media that can attract the attention of students in the learning process. For example, in the education of chemistry subjects in Vocational High Schools. Augmented reality is used to combine a real and virtual object into a real environment at the same time. In this study Augmented Reality or AR is used as an alternative medium for learning chemistry subjects at SMKN 1 TROWULAN, in learning the Sub-Chapter of Everyday Chemicals in the Household. Which contains an explanation of what chemicals are found in households, such as chemicals in bath soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. This study offers a 3D augmented reality application of chemical compounds with a ball and stick compound model with a marker-based tracking method, which later in this application contains 3D augmented reality of chemical compounds found in households, using the 4D development method, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. In tests using the compatibility method, it can be concluded that the augmented reality application of chemical compounds in household chemicals can be run on different android versions, in functional testing the application can run according to the scenario, and in the SUS test it gets a value of 75.95 which is included in the category good, and in the test the pre test score got an average of 49, while in the post test it got a score of 71 seen from the significant difference in numbers, it can be said that it occurred at the time of this application.
