Abstract
Pak Sopyan's tempeh home industry is a micro industry engaged in processing soybean seeds into tempeh products. It is located in Jajar Hamlet, Sukorejo Village, Loceret District, Nganjuk Regency, with a workforce of 2 people, and the average tempeh production capacity in the home industry reaches 900 tempeh to 1000 tempeh every day, with an input of soybean seeds reaching 75 kg to 90 kg of soybean seeds every day. Based on the observations, the process of mixing tempeh yeast with soybean seeds was divided into 5 steps, which were considered less efficient for repeating the same process. Therefore, to minimize the process of mixing tempeh yeast with soybean seeds, improvements are needed in the form of designing a mixer machine for tempeh yeast with soybean seeds. Referring to the experimental results of the implementation of the mixer that has been realized, it shows that it is able to reduce the frequency of the mixing process of tempeh yeast with soybean seeds by 3 times, and the average mixing process of tempeh yeast with soybean seeds in one production cycle only takes 25.88 minutes, with the efficiency level of the cost being 76,92225 %.
