Abstract

Indonesia is an area that is located in a high earthquake area where almost every day there are many earthquake records that occur according to the BMKG report. This shows that the attitude in building construction in Indonesia is very important to go through a calculation process that reviews earthquake loads. Buildings with steel structures are very efficient in carrying earthquake loads. Steel profiles that have high ductility are expected to be able to overcome the problems of earthquake-resistant buildings in Indonesia even though they are expensive, but it is certain that building structures using steel profiles can be used to design earthquake- resistant buildings. In this study, we will discuss the comparison of steel building structures using bracing X which in this case is the Pushover Analysis earthquake and according to the lates SNI 7860-2020 rules. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, buildings with the use of bresing X (Model 2) are more stable when receiving lateral loads than buildings without Bressing (Model 1).This can be seen from the parameters obtained, namely the drift value in model 2 of 16,467 mm with a structure period of 0.226 seconds where this value is smaller than the structure of the building without bresing (Model 1) which is 16.588 mm and the structure period is 0.356 seconds.Meanwhile, the results of performance level analysis using fema 356 Pushover Analysis Method both X direction and Y direction in both structure modeling showed the same performance level results, namely Immediate Occupancy (IO).
