Abstract

Sanky cooking oil was founded in 2011 initially as a home industry then became UD. Mega Setia since 2015-2019 and has grown until now to become Cv. Mega Setia is located in Mojosarirejo Village, Ngembes Hamlet Rt 12/RW 04 Driyorejo-Gresik, East Java. cv. Mega Setia is a family company as an agent for packaged cooking oil under the Sanky brand. In this study, the problem of factors that affect the demand for Sanky cooking oil in Driyorejo-Gresik is found in the price factor, the price of other goods, family income and the number of family members. This study took 30 respondents using the Accidental Sampling method which determines the sample based on people who are met by chance or with anyone who meets the criteria. The type of data used in this study is quantitative data, namely data in the form of numbers which in this study are in the form of Sanky cooking oil data in Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency, East Java Province. The source of data from this research is primary data obtained from observations in Cv. Mega Setia and interviews with respondent consumers and traders using pre-prepared questions. The results of the Sanky cooking oil price variable have a positive and significant effect on the demand for Sanky cooking oil in Driyorejo-Gresik. The variable price of other goods has a positive and significant effect on the demand for Sanky cooking oil in Driyorejo-Gresik. The family income variable has a positive and significant effect on the demand for Sanky cooking oil in Driyorejo-Gresik. The variable number of family members has a positive but not significant effect on the demand for Sanky cooking oil in Driyorejo. Based on the simultaneous test above, the independent variables are price, price of other goods, family income and number of family members. Together they have a positive influence on the demand for cooking oil in Driyorejo- Gresik. The demand for Sanky's cooking oil in Driyorejo Gresik is quite high. I have high hopes Cv. Mega Setia in order to maintain the quality of Sanky's cooking oil. And pay more attention to the family income sector because that sector is very influential for Sanky cooking oil which can cause Sanky cooking oil demand to increase.
