Abstract

The job fair implementation program and trainings that have been carried out by the Manpower Office of Sidoarjo Regency are aimed at reducing unemployment and improving the economic life of the community by expanding job opportunities through entrepreneurship. This program is an effort that is very responsive to the unemployed community, this can be seen from the work plan of the Manpower Office of Sidoarjo Regency in 2021 such as the implementation of job fairs and trainings as well as the percentage of the unemployment rate that will decrease in 2021. The purpose of this research is to knowing the response or responsiveness in opening job opportunities for unemployed at the Manpower Office of Sidoarjo Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by observing the state of the research object and solving problems that have been investigated, and based on the facts that are seen or as they are. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of implementing job fair programs and trainings is to reduce unemployment and increase job opportunities for job seekers in Sidoarjo Regency, the program that has been according to plan is going well, the planned strategy is well structured but there are few obstacles in its implementation, as well as the unequal distribution of facilities and infrastructure. So, based on the above analysis, it can be concluded that the Responsiveness in Opening Unemployed Job Opportunities carried out by the Manpower Office of Sidoarjo Regency is very responsive to the unemployed community.
