Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and performance of employees. The concept of self in this study is defined as a view or assessment of the individual against himself, includes an overview of the self and the desired personality, whether physical, social or psychological, which is derived from the experience and results of their interactions with others. Employee performance in this study is defined as the work and effort of employees as a form of task performance, contextual performance, adaptive performance and productivity of employees so as to provide a positive impact and promote the company. Number of subjects of this study as many as 40 were taken from the total population of units HR and Finance unit PT. X which numbered 40 people. Hipotesi proposed in this study is "a positive relationship between self-concept and performance of employees". The analysis used in this research that parametric statistical analysis product moment correlation were processed with SPSS software for Windows 21 IBM. Results obtained correlation r xy = 0.447 with a significance of p = 0.004 (p <0.05), which means there is a very significant positive correlation between self-concept employee performance (which means the research hypothesis is accepted).
