Abstract

The development of technology has now entered the digital stage and has even penetrated into the field of education. Thus, many school institutions use it to support learning media. Astronomy material is received by students in grade 7 or grade 8 through the media of printed books without any practice. There needs to be a new variety of learning for students so that the learning atmosphere is effective. Currently, Augmented Reality technology is considered capable of overcoming these problems. Augmented Reality is an interactive technology that allows to combine the virtual world and the real world. With Augmented Reality (AR) media, students at least know the visualization of celestial bodies considering that Astronomy is a fairly complex material. The implementation of AR itself will use Spark AR, which is a technology that in its application is supported by Instagram social media.
