Abstract
Finding a job in Indonesia is still quite difficult, especially with the high unemployment rate. New challenges will be faced by college graduates or fresh graduates when entering the world of work and providing different experiences when they are still studying in college. Challenge after challenge will be faced by individuals in facing the world of work, especially fresh graduates or college graduates. This challenge in the world of work will be a new challenge for fresh graduate students and this challenge creates or creates feelings of worry about their future work which will disturb the individual fresh graduate. This study aims to find a relationship between parental social support and self-efficacy with anxiety facing the world of work in fresh graduate students in Surabaya. Purpose The data in this study has been carried out by involving 96 respondents from Surabaya fresh graduates who graduated from 2021-2022. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The statistical results used in this study were spearman rho with the help of the IBM SPSS 25 for windows program. Based on the research results of data analysis using Spearman Rho between the variables of parental social support and anxiety, a correlation score of rxy -0.121 was obtained with a significance of p = 0.238 (p <0.05), it can be interpreted that there is a significant negative relationship between the variables of parental social support. (X1) and anxiety (Y). So it can be assumed that when the social support of parents is higher, the level of anxiety is lower, and vice versa. Then the results of the calculation of research data analysis showed that the Spearman Rho correlation between the self-efficacy and anxiety variables obtained a correlation score of rxy -0.298 with a significance of p=0.003 (p<0.05) so that it could be interpreted that there was a significant negative relationship between self- efficacy and worry. So it can be assumed that when self-efficacy is higher, the level of anxiety is lower, and vice versa. KEYWORDS: Parent's Social Support, Self efficacy, Freshgraduate Anxiety.
