Abstract

The AEC is one of the pillars of the ASEAN community building and a regional economic integration began to be enacted in 2015. The implementation will make ASEAN as a single market and production base which occurs the flow of goods, services, investment and skilled labor as well as the free flow of free capital among countries in the ASEAN region. The free flow of skilled labor must be used by Indonesia as an opportunity to create employment and reduce unemployment. Things that become problems is how the legal protection provided by the government in the field of labor in preparing a skilled workforce to face the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. By examining these problems using normative juridical method, consists of legislation, books and journals related to employment. Results showed that the Legal Protection of the Local Workforce in the Age of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by the Government through Act No. 13 of 2003 on Labor, Government Regulation No. 23 Year 2004 on National Certification Board , and through the Professional Certification Agency.
