Abstract
PT. SMW is a company engaged in manufacturing. The main product is supermarket shelves with the main raw materials of iron plates, because at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic the price of iron plates rose rapidly, the company innovated the components of supermarket shelf poles by converting the raw materials of the plate into pipes, the product innovations carried out caused the laser machine to be needed in the process of working on laser machines, and at the beginning of the work the company chose to use the services of sub-contracts for the work on its new product innovations. The result is that in 3 years from the beginning of product innovation, the market has increased every year, with the total number of product requests for 2019-2022 as many as 15,400, assuming that it will be more profitable if the machine invests in long-term production, then the company plans to invest in Mesin Laser. The company will invest the G-Weike LF3015E Laser Machine at a price of Rp. 985. 000. 000,- and an economic life of 10 years taking into account market aspects or demand that continue to increase in 3 years. Analysis for market aspects with the Regression Analysis forecasting method for the next 5 years, hasil analystsis getting the demand is increasing with the number of product demand in 202 3-2027 the number of requests of 46,385. Using the NPV (Net Present Value) method, IRR (Internal Rate of Return) and Payback Period in theriteria to assess the feasibility of machine investment, the results of the analysis were obtained using NPV (Net Present Value) which had a positive value of Rp. 2,716,319,818,-, the percentage of IRR (Internal Rate of Return) resulting in 9. 4% is greater than the 6.0% factor discount and a Payback Period of 3.3 years or 40 months which is not more than the life of the machine, it can be concluded that the investment is worth making.
