Abstract
UD. Bhakti Mulya is a metal foundry business the products produced are "SINGER" Sewing Machine Feet and Grinding Balls made of steel. Planning and control of raw materials and fuel are very important for metal casting companies with manual cupolas, especially UD. Bhakti Mulya. Fluctuating demand from customers resulted in excess and shortage of raw materials and fuel at UD. Bhakti Mulya. Therefore, need a definite and optimal calculation. In this case, an analysis of planning and control of raw materials and fuel is carried out using the probabilistic method of the P Back Order model. To find out the order time interval, safety stock, lot order size, and inventory costs. Inventory and Control are done by probabilistic calculation of P Back Order model with Hadley Within solution by iterating and selecting the best solution with minimum total inventory cost. Calculation results obtained the total minimum inventory cost and optimal inventory system. In the inventory of steel raw materials, the total cost of Rp. 8,019,643,854 with intervals of orders made every 9 days or 0.023 years, the order lot size is 21,689 tons, the safety stock is 14,518 tons and the maximum order is 37 tons. The level of service provided is 99.87%. Then on the stock of coke fuel obtained the total cost of Rp. 1,160,353,364 with time intervals of orders made every 20 days or 0,054 years, order lot size is 7,344 tons, safety stock is 23,43 tons and the maximum order is 31 tons.
