Abstract

Fire is a disaster caused by a fire that cannot be controlled so that it can cause a lot of losses. Fire detection devices and systems used in the community generally are often not functioning properly due to several factors, including disconnection of the cable to the sensor due to fire, the alarm indicator is problematic. This can be interpreted as requiring improvements that can reduce the failure of the fire detection and suppression system, so that fire handling will be better and reduce losses. This final project is designing a fire extinguisher that can detect changes in temperature that indicate the occurrence of a fire in a room, and convey information to technicians automatically via cell phone (SMS). The design of this tool is controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). With a temperature sensor (LM35DZ) supporting device and 2-way wireless communication. The results of making this tool can work with a combination of manual and automatic, the system will provide updated information when the temperature rises. At this stage the technician can operate the extinguishing action manually by sending an SMS before the system works automatically. When the maximum temperature has been reached, the extinguishing system will function to automatically cut off the electricity, sound the buzzer and open the selenoid valve to spray water
