Abstract
The currently developing method in the manufacture of composite materials in powder metallurgy. It is a manufacturing technology that is widely used in industry for the innovation of various material technologies. One of the benefits of applying powder-based techniques is that different material properties can be combined with different properties to create new properties as designed. In this study, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fluctuations in compression pressure and sintering temperature fluctuations on the values of density, hardness, and microstructure. From the results of this test obtained. The highest hardness value is at a pressure of 6200 Psi at a temperature of 450 at 53.14 HRB, and the lowest hardness value is at a pressure of 6400 Psi at a sintering temperature of 550 at 23.48 HRB. And the greatest density value is at a pressure of 6200 Psi at a temperature of 450 at 2.75. And the lowest density value is at a pressure of 6400 Psi at a temperature of 550 at 2.49. This shows that the sintering pressure and temperature greatly affect the value of density, hardness, and microstructure.
