Abstract
Air Conditioning (AC) is an air conditioning process in which the air is conditioned at a certain temperature and humidity level, so as to produce clean, fresh, and comfortable air. The efficiency of a refrigeration system depends on many factors, including the efficiency of the compressor rotational speed and the type of refrigerant used. This study aims to obtain the cooling capacity of various types of refrigerant 134a Yess Cold, Klea, Kalton, Nippon Denso with variations in compressor rotational speed of 800 Rpm, 1100 Rpm, and 1400 Rpm on a 1500 CC car air conditioner. The method used in this study is an experimental method carried out with a car air conditioning system trainer with refrigerant variations of 134a Yess Cold, Klea, Kalton, and Nippon Denso using variations of compressor rotational speed of 800 Rpm, 1100 Rpm, and 1400 Rpm. Data is collected by finding the refrigerant pressure and temperature values. Then, look up the enthalpy value by using the table. Followed by drawing the vapor compression cycle process on the P-h diagram R-134a. The enthalpy value data that has been obtained is used for data calculations. The results of calculations based on these data are described in the form of comparison charts for each variation. From the research data, it can be concluded that the type of refrigerant 134a Yess Cold, Klea, Kalton, and Nippon Denso with variations in compressor rotation speed of 800 Rpm, 1100 Rpm, and 1400 Rpm has a significant effect on cooling capacity. 1500cc AC car. The highest cooling capacity (Qe) value for refrigerants 134a Klea and Nippon Denso at a compressor rotation speed of 800 Rpm is 24.6 kJ/s. Then for the highest coefficient of real performance (COP) on refrigerant 134a Nippon Denso at a compressor rotation speed of 800 Rpm of 4.1. The high and low rotational speed of the compressor can affect the value of cooling capacity (Qe) and the resulting coefficient of real performance (COP).
