Abstract

At this time the use of air conditioning is almost used in various scopes ranging from small houses to high-rise buildings to make the atmosphere in the room cool and comfortable. The air conditioning system is generally on the heat release side in the condenser using a fan blower, which can be efficient by the heat release method on the condenser side and can be replaced with fluid media. Because water is a good heat-absorbing cooling medium compared to air, the heat stored in the refrigerant can be absorbed by the condenser to the maximum. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics and analyze the performance of the Split AC cooling system by varying the heat transfer rate on the condenser, and analyzing the variation of the effective heat transfer rate for the condenser. The method used is experimental, while the equipment used is a compressor, condenser, expansion valve, evaporator and condenser cooling vessel. The measuring instrument for data collection uses low and high pressure gauges and digital temperatures. The data taken are freon pressure and temperature. The discharge variations used are Q1 (0.01 L/s), Q2 (0.125 L/s), Q3 (0.15 L/s), Q4 (0.175 L/s), Q5 (0.2 L/s ) From the calculated data and graphs, it is concluded that the highest cooling capacity (Qe) value is at Q1 discharge (0.1 L/s) of 3189,89 kJ/s and the highest COP value is at Q5 discharge (0.2 L/s) of 7,58.
