Abstract

The use of diesel motors as the prime mover is quite a lot, both for vehicles, heavy equipment, and power plants. This study aimed to determine the diesel engine's performance, the calorimeter value, and the emission results of each fuel. This research is an experimental study using the method of adding pertamax turbo to Dexlite, B50, and Biosolar fuel at 5%, 7.5%, and 10% and testing using a lamp load. By calculating the average effective power, torque, fuel flow rate, specific fuel, and thermal efficiency approaching Pertamina dex fuel. In this research, the highest effective power value is found in the type of Dexlite fuel with a mixture of 10% Pertamax Turbo of 756.55 watts, The highest torque value is found in the dexlite fuel type with a mixture of 10% Pertamax Turbo with a value of 30.26 Nm, The best SFC value is found in dexlite fuel with a mixture of 10% Pertamax Turbo with a value of 762.8 g/kWh, and the highest efficiency value is found in the type of Dexlite fuel with a mixture of 10% Pertamax Turbo with a value of 10.79%. In this type of Dexlite fuel with a mixture of 10% Pertamax Turbo, the lowest emission values are CO 0.05%, HC 7 ppm, and CO2 1.8%. The best calorimeter value approaching Pertamina dex fuel is Dexlite with a mixture of 10% pertamax turbo of 10,450 cal/gr. Keywords: Diesel engine performance, Diesel, Additives, Diesel engine
