Abstract

PP Manyar Kartika Jaya is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of industrial plastic powder packaging. This company is experiencing problems in the control and inventory of raw materials which can result in the cessation of production. This company has not implemented a certain method for raw material inventory, this company only estimates the amount of raw materials to be ordered based on historical data so that there is an excess or shortage of inventory. Using the MRP (Material Requirement Planning) method is the control and control of the right raw material inventory to be used to overcome the uncertainty of demand in this MRP to determine Lot sizing which aims to determine the amount of inventory and the right time. With minimal total cost. Lot size LFL provides optimal ordering of plastic seed raw materials by removing raw material costs of Rp. 1,000,000 and for Lot size FPR issued a raw material cost of Rp. 222,500.00. the total cost of LFL incurred is lower than the comparison of FPR costs.
