Abstract

PT. Elang Jagad is a company engaged in manufacturing metal or iron plate processing, which is located in Sidoarjo. The problem being faced is that the company does not plan for the right number of operators so that many machines are not running properly. This causes the production target is not met because it has limited human resources. The result of the forecast calculation is that the selected Forecasting method is the Exponential Smoothing method because it has the smallest Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) value of 15.859.38. Working time analysis results obtained standard time of 108.33 seconds or 1.8 minutes each unit. Based on the calculation of Work Load Analysis (WLA), the average workload is obtained at each work station with 11 workers, which is 90%. However, there are several work stations that have excessive workloads such as leg cutting work stations by 209%, blanking legs by 135%, ovens by 137%. The proposal given is to provide additional workloads on work stations that have a moderate workload. The cost of materials needed for the manufacture of stove stoves is 60,000 units each month, with a total cost of Rp1.021.236. The labor cost based on the Cost of Production is Rp292 each unit. Then for the regular cost of Rp1.920.000 each worker. The initial overtime cost with 3 hours of overtime is Rp16.114.682. Then the value of Break Even Point (BEP) is Rp16.003 each unit. If using the calculation of the proposed new workforce without overtime hours, the new Break Even Point (BEP) value is Rp15.996 each unit.
