Abstract

Along with the times, the population of motorized vehicles has increased significantly, as have the exhaust emissions produced. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of exhaust emissions and the performance of motorized vehicles. This study aims to determine the difference between the use of pure gasoline and gasoline added with addictive substances on a 110 cc automatic motorcycle, the fuel used in this study is RON 90, RON 92, RON 95, and RON 98 with an addictive mixture of 0%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. The exhaust gas levels measured were: CO gas, HC gas, CO2 gas, O2 gas. Based on the results of the tests carried out, it can be seen that the most ideal torque and power values are found in the variation of the fuel mixture and addictive RON 95 and addictive 2% with a torque of 9,234 Nm at 6,2080 rpm engine speed. The largest power value obtained in this test is 8,211 HP with an engine rotation speed of 6,338 rpm using a variation of the RON 95 fuel mixture and 1.5% addictive. The highest fuel consumption occurs in variations of pure RON 95 fuel mixture with fuel consumption of 30 ml, while the lowest or most economical fuel consumption occurs in variations of RON 95 fuel mixture and 2% addictive with fuel consumption of 8 ml. From the graph of exhaust emission results, it can be concluded that the addition of addictive substances in each fuel results in lower exhaust emissions.
