Abstract

HHO gas is a process of splitting pure water molecules ( H20 ) into hydrogen ( H2 ) and oxygen ( 0 ) gas which goes through a decomposition process , namely electrolysis . Much or at least the production of an HHO gas is influenced by the area of the electrode . The aim of this study is to determine the impact of various variations in the number of electrode pieces used in the HHO gas production process , in its use utilizing the electrical power supplied to the electrodes into the water sourced from a 12 Volt 30 Ampere power supply . The electrodes used have three main variations , namely Stainless Steel type 316 , Titanium , and Aluminum . Of course , from various variations of material , it must be different from the others . Referring to the calculation of the speed of hydrogen gas production from the three variations of the electrolysis process , the variations of three pieces of ST 316 material are 0.78 10 L / s , while the variation of two pieces is 0.54 10 L / s . After that , the variation of three pieces of Titanium material reached a figure of 0.8 * 10 L / s , while in the variation of two pieces it was 0.62 10 L / s . Furthermore , the variation of three pieces of Aluminum material reaches a number of 0.65 * 10¹ L / s , while the variation of two pieces is 0.47 x 10 L / s . As in the experiment , the fastest hydrogen production is in the Titanium material which has a total of three pieces with an achievement of 0.8 × 10 L / s .
