Abstract

The Kebonagung Office is an office that becomes a place to held government activities within the scope of Kebonagung Village, Sidoarjo Regency which is engaged in community services including the management of social assistance, and correspondence. Sub-district leadership in Kebonagung Village can have an impact on the quality of the performance of its employees, and play a big role in improving the performance of its employees in achieving goals in order to meet the needs of the people of Kebonagung Village. The phenomenon that the researchers found in the research area of the Kebonagung Village Office was the lack of intensity of meetings between leaders and employees, resulting in a lack of leadership supervision over employees.This research is descriptive qualitative with the aim of describing and analyzing how the ability of a leader of the Kebonagung Sidoarjo Village Office in influencing the performance of village office employees in providing services to the community. Using interview and observation data collection methods through 3 informants in which they are Kebonagung Sidoarjo Village Office employees and a local villager who then went through a source triangulation test to test the validity of the data and test data analysis using the Miles and Huberman method. The results showed that the leader had a positive impact on the performance of the employees of the Kebonangung Sidoarjo Village Office, this can be seen from the aspect of intelligence, maturity and breadth of social views, relationships between individuals, integrity and motivation of leaders' achievement which is considered good, so that leaders are expected to always maintain performance. good work, and even better if it improves its work performance so that it always has a positive impact on the work performance of its employees and can optimize its duties in providing administrative services for the community.
