Abstract

Many things can be done to overcome project time delays, namely by adding more workers, adding work shifts, increasing working hours, or using more to the productive tools. The thing that is related in overcoming project delays is the project completion time and the costs of workers on the project and its supporting activities have a close relationship because it really determines the success of a project. The implementation of the Hotel Shafira Surabaya project with a contract cost of Rp. 75,565,747,573, it is necessary to accelerate the duration, considering that there are delays in the work in the field. This research uses the time and cost trade off method. Presenting calculations on the critical path of work, with several calculation formulas, namely Crash Duration, Crash Cost, Cost Slope, and time and cost efficiency. The purpose of this method is to speed up project implementation time and to analyze the effect of shortened time by adding costs to activities that can be accelerated in the to implementation period so that the maximum acceleration and minimum costs can be known. From the results of the study, it can be seen that it has been planned with an optimal duration of 448 days or 61 weeks compared to the normal time of 455 days or 63 weeks using the overtime method for a maximum of 3 hours / day, the project can save time as much as 7 days. for project cost efficiency with compression costs of Rp. 9,047,960,280.
