Abstract

Game adalah sesuatu yang dapat dimainkan dengan beberapa aturan tertentu sehingga terdapat satu pihak yang menang dan pihak lainnya kalah. Pada zaman sekarang game digunakan sebagai alat memperkenalkan suatu yang baru kepada masyarakat di seluruh dunia, seperti halnya budaya Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan pendekatan budaya. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah unsur budaya Jepang yang terdapat dalam game Persona 5. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah mengklasifikasikan data menurut unsur budaya Jepang yang terdapat dalam game Persona 5 sehingga dapat diketahui bahwasanya unsur tersebut terdapat dalam masyarakat Jepang. Dari 25 data representasi budaya Jepang yang dianalisis terdapat 7 unsur budaya Jepang berupa unsur bahasa berupa jenis bahasa yang digunakan dan aisatsu, unsur pendidikan berupa sebuah sekolah, unsur sosial berupa budaya 5S, unsur ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi berupa perkembangan teknologi smartphone dan tv layar lebar, unsur ekonomi berupa arubaito, unsur religi berupa adanya kuil shinto dan sebuah lukisan yang menggambarkan torii dan unsur seni berupa lukisan dengan teknik tradisional Jepang yaitu ukiyo-e.
