Abstract

Indonesia is included in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Therefore school planning must take into account the school's resistance to lateral forces such as wind and earthquakes. Therefore in school planning, it can be done by providing stiffness with a shear wall or bracing structure in the structural system so that it can withstand lateral forces from wind and earthquakes. The analysis was carried out by testing the performance of the stiffener structure between shear wall and bracing to find out which performance comparison between shear wall and bracing was better using the pushover method. The results of the analysis conducted using the pushover method of shear wall and bracing show that both are at the same level at the Immediate Occupancy (IO) level. For structures that use shear walls, they are stiffer than those using bracing. Keyword : Shear Wall, Bracing
