Abstract

The problem in this study is the control of raw material inventory using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to minimize inventory costs at PT. Multi Manao Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the analysis of raw material inventory control using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to minimize inventory costs. This research method is qualitative. With data collection techniques study literature, field research (observation, interviews). Data analysis methods are using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, Safety Stock, Reorder Point, Maximum Inventory, and Total Inventory Cost (TIC). The results of data analysis at PT. Multi Manao Indonesia in 2017. The EOQ calculation in 2017 is 8,049,015 m 3 with a frequency of ordering 2 times / year. In 2018 there were 12,248,765 m 3 with a frequency of ordering 2 times / year, and in 2019 it was 14,933,599 m 3 with a frequency of ordering 2 times / year. And for Safety Stock (safety stock) in 2017 amounted to 112,686.28 m 3 , in 2018 amounted to 171,482.78m 3 , and in 2019 amounted to 209,070.40 m 3 . And for the Reorder Point for 2017, 113,312.36 m 3 , 2018 amounted to 172,707.68 m 3 , and in 2019 there were 210,231.84 m 3 . And for the Maximum Inventory in 2017, it will be 120,735.30 m , in 2018 it will be 183,731.55 m 3 , and for 2019 it will be 224,004.00 m . And for the total inventory cost (Total Inventory Cost) using the EOQ method, in 2017 amounting to Rp. 813,242,698,504, in 2018 amounting to Rp. 1,239,373,600,464, and for 2019 Rp. 1,508,835,856. For the total inventory cost (Total Inventory Cost) of the company in 2017 of Rp. 1,161,645,571.44, in 2018 amounting to Rp. 1808. 198,402.88, and for 2019 Rp. 2,166,264,571.48. By using the EOQ method there are savings in 2017 of Rp. 348,402,873, in 2018 amounting to Rp. 568,824,802, and in 2019 Rp. 657,428,988. It can be concluded that using the EOQ method can minimize inventory costs with evidence that the total inventory costs using the EOQ method are more efficient than those who do not use the EOQ method. Suggestions from researchers is that PT. Multi Manao uses raw material inventory control using the EOQ method so that PT. Multi Manao Indonesia monitors the amount of safety stock, reordering and maximum inventory, to avoid the risk of running out of raw materials (stock out) and also excess raw materials in the warehouse so as to minimize inventory costs at PT. Multi Manao Indonesia.
