Abstract
Dating violence is a form of action or behavior aimed at others to injure, destroy, control, or control the victim by physically, verbally, or psychologically injuring. One of the factors that can influence dating violence is emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence with violence in dating to overseas students. The sampling method in this study was random sampling of 92 subjects. The subjects of this study were the students of August 17 1945 Surabaya who were dating and were foreign. Dukan data collection using the scale of emotional intelligence and the scale of dating violence. The analytical method used is the product moment correlation technique. The results of data analysis showed the magnitude of the correlation coefficient between the variables of emotional intelligence with dating violence was -0.731 and p = 0.00
