Abstract
Along with the development of technology, lending and borrowing activities can now be done online. Lending and borrowing activities cannot be separated from the collection made by the creditor to the debtor, the absence of clear regulations regarding collection causes legal uncertainty for the debtor. In this study the writer will discuss about the standard procedure for collecting receivables carried out by online loan providers and what sanctions apply when collecting receivables are not according to standard billing procedures.As stated in Article 48 of the Regulation of the Financial Services Authority of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 Year 2018 concerning the Operation of a Financing Company, it provides rules for the Financing Company to be able to cooperate with other parties to carry out the billing function to the Debtor and must be fully responsible for all impacts caused from cooperation with other parties and fintec companies are prohibited from using physical and mental violence, intimidating methods, or other methods that are degrading the dignity or SARA, dignity, and selfesteem of Loan Recipients, in cyberspace (cyber bullying) or in the physical world both to the Loan RecipientsOJK has the authority to provide administrative sanctions in stages in the form of warnings, freezing of business activities, and revocation of business licenses.
