Abstract

This research is entitled: "Food Product Labeling Regulations in Indonesia". The background of the need for this research is based on the results of the study which found that the label problem received less attention attention from consumers where only 6.7% of consumers pay attention completeness. Consumers are required to always be careful in consuming it feels unfair. There must be a real protective measure from the government to consumers. Law enforcement by applying the right sanctions for business actors who violate food product labeling regulations must implemented. It is important to teach moral responsibility to businessmen. Based on this background, the problems that will be stated as follows: 1). How is the ratio legis labeling arrangement food products in Indonesia? and 2). What is the responsibility of business actors? on the labeling of food products? This dissertation research is a normative legal research, namely is a legal research whose emphasis is on law positive, namely the norms of laws and regulations relating to the The problem is the regulation of labeling of pagan products in Indonesia. Based on the descriptions in the chapters above can be drawn the following conclusions: 1). Ratio legis regulation of food product labeling in Indonesia in an effort to provide legal protection to the community already as regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, as lex generalis, and Law Number 18 2012 concerning Food, as lex specialis, the two norms is a paired norm as a primary norm and a secondary norm which should be in sync with each other. And Government Regulation Number 69 Years 1999 concerning Pagan Labels and Ilan, Decree of the Minister of Health No 924/Menkes/SK/VII1/1996 concerning the Inclusion of the Word "Halal" on the Label Food, Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 180/Menkes.Per/IV/1985 concerning Expired Food which has been amended by Decree of the Director General of POM No 0259/B/SK/VIN/91 as implementing regulations. 2). Responsibility business actors can be carried out with various instruments, namely legal instruments civil law, criminal law instruments and also administrative law instruments. By Therefore, a violation by business actors of the provisions of food labels can result in subject to civil, criminal and criminal liability or sanctions administration.
