Abstract
The right of enquete is the right of the legislature to implement oversight of government political, then in development right of enquete may be used for the benefit of the political class. The problem is how to position the right of enquete and the legal effect of the application of the right of enquete. With normative legal study it can be concluded that the right of enquete is a constitutional right and the legal consequences which the government (executive) required to implement the results of the right of enquete. As a suggestion of the right of enquete set forth in article 199, paragraph (1) Law of Republic of Indonesia No. 17 of 2014 concerning Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat, Dewan Perwakilan Rakat, Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, Dan Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (State gazette of Republic of Indonesia No. 182 of 2014, Additionof state azette of the Republic of IndonesiaNo. 5568) was change to ‘’the right of enquete referred to in paragraph (1) to the right of enquete of parliament if the approval of the plenary session of parliament attended by more than 3/4 (three quarters) the number of members and a decision taken by approval of more than 2/3 (two thirds) the number of members of parliament present, as a suggestion that the legislature more attention to the clarity of the norm in terms of the right of enquete, the community in order to closely observe the police, and the results of the right of enquete may be used as evidence.
