Abstract

Company value is a company performance formed by the demand and supply of capital market reflecting the public assessment of the company performance. Company Value is often associated with the stock price. The higher the stock price of a company, the revenue and prosperity of shareholders will also increase and have a good impact on increasing the company value. This study aims to examine and find out: (1) The Impact of Profitability on the Company Value partially, (2) The Impact of Leverage on the Company Value partially, (3) The Impact of Profitability and Leverage on the Company Value simultaneously. This study was quantitative. The data analysis method used was SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using SmartPLS software version 3.0. The population used in this study was retail sub-sector companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2020. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling method with predetermined criteria. Therefore, samples of 10 companies were obtained. The results of the study demonstrated that profitability significantly and partially impacts the company value of retail sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2020. The leverage does not significantly and partially impact the company value of retail sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2020. Moreover, profitability and leverage significantly and simultaneously impact the company value of retail sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2020.
