Abstract

Power plant department of PT ABC is a steam power plant that supplics clectricity and stcam for organizing the activity of the whole company. Electricity supply from department to department will remain stable if the power plant continues to operate. Power plant of PT ABC consists of boiler machine, turbine machine, water treatment plant, and coal ash handling. In order to keep the machining will operate well so that maintenance is needed. Belt conveyor which is part of coal ash handling machine is critical component, therefore internal of maintenance optimum will be needed. In this research has intention to determine what is the component of belt conveyor that frequently broken. Then, chi square test is needed to generate the distribution for determining interval of age replacement. The critical component is carrier roll which has scheduling of age replacement in 9 days. The reliability of component is 63,68% and has 40 frequency in one year. The total cost of maintenance is Rp. 611.712,00.
