Abstract

WHO has published data on Southeast Asia's population of 8 percent, or 142 million people, which has tripled between 2020 and 2050. This is also consistent with data showing that the number of Indonesians over 60 years of age is increasing especially in cities. -big city like Surabaya. However, in large cities where vertical housing can be applied, the land is limited. The elderly have special housing needs, depending on their abilities and activities, especially those who live alone or with a partner. They will be more comfortable living with people their age. f so, a Polential Senior Apartment is needed as a solution to the problem of residential needs for the elderly in nursing homes and other cities of Surabaya.
