Abstract

Gito Fiberglass is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of Fiberglass Cool Boxes. Gito Fiberglass was founded in 1994, at Jl Banjarpoh RT14/RW.06 Sidoarjo. Some of the products produced are Cool Boxes, water tanks, and several other Fiberglass products. The increase in raw materials causes the selling price of the product to also increase, resulting in decreased sales. From the problem of rising raw material prices, planning for adding raw material Talc to Fiberglass products is carried out in order to reduce production costs. The results of the Value Engineering implementation that have been carried out, the total cost without using additional raw material Talc (only using resin) is Rp. 8049,988, - with a selling price of Rp. 900.000,-/set the profit earned is Rp. 950011,. The total cost of adding raw talc is Rp. 6,938,788,-/set, the profit earned is Rp. 2,061,211, - with the same selling price of Rp. 9,000,000,-. The difference in price after adding raw material talc is Rp. 1,111,200. The greater the profit with the same selling price, the owner of the company can lower the selling price according to the buyer's request.
