Abstract

Abstrak Saat masa pandemi Covid-19, setiap instansi maupun sekolah banyak yang dibatasi, beberapa pekerjaan banyak yang dilakukan dirumah saja atau work from home, tetapi berbeda dengan bekerja sebagai seorang reporter karena mencari informasi, mengumpulkan data dan mengolah bahan berita dari berbagai sumber untuk dapat dilaporkan secara langsung melalui stasiun televisi, merupakan kewajiban utama dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Sehingga membuat peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian ini. Dimana usaha reporter agar kebutuhannya akan informasi dapat terpenuhi meski di lakukan di masa pandemi seperti sekarang ini. Penelitian ini berjudul “Usaha Reporter TV di Surabaya Dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Informasi di Masa Pandemi Covid-19”. Dalam hal ini usaha reporter sangat penting, seperti bagaimana usaha dilakukan, serta perubahan yang dihadapi ketika mencari informasi berita di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini mencoba melihat lebih jauh performa sebuah media penyiaran televisi di tengah ketatnya peraturan pemerintah yang mengharuskan bekerja dari rumah untuk menghindari penyebaran virus Covid-19 namun tugas seorang reporter yang tetap harus turun lapangan untuk mencari berita, terutama terkait peran dan fungsi media penyiaran televisi yang ada di Surabaya. Kemudian bagaimana kinerja media dipengaruhi oleh reporter dalam mencari berita di masa pandemi, yang sebelumnya tidak ada virus sehingga lebih mudah dalam mencari berita, merupakan hal menarik yang patut dikaji dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi yang dilakukan oleh reporter TV di Surabaya di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologi dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara mendalam kepada seorang informan. Informan dalam penelitian ini merupakan reporter TV di Surabaya. This research is entitled "The Business of TV Reporters in Surabaya in Fulfilling Information Needs during the Covid-19 Pandemic". In this case, the reporter's business is very important, such as how the business is carried out, as well as the changes faced when looking for news information during the pandemic. This study tries to look further at the performance of a television broadcasting media in the midst of strict government regulations that require working from home to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus, but the task of a reporter who still has to go out in the field to find news, especially related to the role and function of television broadcasting media is in Surabaya. Then how the media's performance is influenced by reporters in looking for news during the pandemic, where previously there was no virus so that it was easier to find news, is an interesting thing that deserves to be studied in this research. This study aims to determine the process of meeting the information needs of TV reporters in Surabaya during the pandemic. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological method with a descriptive approach. Observation data collection techniques, in-depth interviews with an informant.
