Abstract

Initially, the provisions for the PKWT period were contained in Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower which was later removed and amendments were made to Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and regulated in more detail in Government Regulation Number 35 of 2021 as a rule. the executor. This change in the term of the Work Agreement for a Certain Time (PKWT) has caused several losses for contract workers, thus threatening their human rights, such as welfare and a decent living. Changes in the period of the Specific Time Work Agreement (PKWT) to be longer and there is no guarantee of contract workers to get permanent job guarantees. In addition to changes in terms of time, there are other legal consequences for contract workers after the omnibus law. So that the resulting losses have an impact on the welfare and a decent life for contract workers. On the other hand, the welfare of the community in the context of getting a job and a decent living has been guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as the highest rule in the legislation.
