Abstract

Arabic dictation, commonly referred to as Imla’, is learning Arabic's writing. Imla' is learning about how to write Hijaiyyah letters. Imla' is a compulsory subject taught to the Sigor Surabaya Tutoring Institute students. The problem faced by the Gontor Simulation Institute in teaching Imla’ is the lack of interactive learning media. Augmented Reality can unite natural environments with 3D objects that are not real. This research utilizes Augmented Reality technology to visualize existing material to make it more exciting and interactive for students to learn. The markers used are primary markers and combined markers. This application was also tested using the black box testing method to test application functionality, heuristic evaluation to test application usability, and testing on several different android devices. The application has not met 2 of the ten existing elements only on heuristic testing. Questionnaires were also distributed to students and teachers and based on the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Questionnaire, it produces a percentage of 80% for the level of user satisfaction with the application.
