Abstract

The damage of the field ecosystem since the green revolution application need to be fixed by applying LEISA (Low External-Input Sustainable Agriculture) concept. LEISA implementation on the rice cultivation is to reduce the use of artificial manure NPK and pesticide as low as possibleby busing natural organic manureand botanical pesticide followed by the application of the integrated pest-controlling concept. One of the green manureis azolla microphylla,a kind of water edible fern whose life symbioses with the blue green algaean abaena azollae, that can catch the nitrogen from the air. This symbioses urges azolla to grow more in a short time to produce nitrogenand protein in a large amountso that azollais potential to replaceurea nitrogen based fertilizer. The application of azolla-based fertilizer is also expected to increase the organic material content in the soil to incrase the microelement in the soil. This study aims to know how far the use of Azolla Microphylladuring 2 and 5 years can fix the soil antibiotic; soil axis; soil structure; soil pH; soil aggregate and biotic factor; diversitv, the organism variety in the soil. The research was held in Kelurahan Sumber Pucung Kabupaten Malang with the method of field ecosystem comparison with the latosol soil, in the field that had been fertilized with Azollafor 2 years and 5 years and in the field that had not been fertilized with Azolla. The result of the study showed that the use of 20 kw/ha/growing on the plant twice a'year increased significantly 'to the aggregate and axisstability and increased the organic mnaterial content. The useof Azollafor 5 years has not influenced the permeability and the pH of the soil. The use of Azollacouldfix the biotic factor by fixing the diversity of soil organisms for the ecosystem of the field stability. The useof Azalia could increase the numberof worms that dominated the growth of the organismsin the soil ecosystem.
