Abstract
In construction projects, project cost control is something that must be considered in the project cost management process. The large financing aspect becomes the center of attention for re-analysis with the aim of finding savings. This gives create to many alternatives that are used as the basis for conducting studies that not to correct the mistakes made by planners or correct the calculations but rather lead to cost savings. Therefore, it is necessary to have a cost analysis of change so that unnecessary costs and efforts can be eliminated and the value or cost of the project can be reduced. Cost analysis of change to the Construction Project of the East Kutai Public Works Office is carried out on roofing work and masonry walls work. Roofing work is carried out by replacing the metal tile roof with the concrete tile roof and the acoustic tile ceiling with a PVC ceiling. Meanwhile, masonry walls work is done by replacing the decorative stone walls with ceramics and the black cobble stone walls with ceramic cobble stone motifs on the walls. This application study aims to determine the amount of cost savings that occur after the implementation of value engineering. The amount of cost saving or cost reduction after the implementation of value engineering is Rp. 259,984,452.97 with a percentage of 5.60% of the total cost of the structure analyzed. Thus, one of the objectives of implementing cost analysis of change is achieved, namely cost savings. Keyword: Cost Savings, Cost Change
