Abstract

Domestic violence, sexual violence, rape, are part of a crime against women.Rape, in fact, can be experienced by anyone and can be done by anyone. Thesufferings of rape victims experienced since rape. These afflictions include social burdens in society, concerns about pregnancy and the onset of illness or infection,and so on. The aftermath of rape raises physical and psychic losses on rape victims.Such psychic losses can affect the daily life of rape victims as a psychological impact. The psychological impact on rape victims seems to be with symptoms that correspond to Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), among others sad, depressedmood, insomnia, loss of interest in the usual activity, the existence of negative selfconcepts,feeling life useless, blame yourself, and feeling guilty, being difficult toconcentrate, often thinking about suicide or dying. Compensation for rape victimsneeds to be gained with consideration of its psychological condition. The damagesfor victims of rape against psychological impacts have not been obtained. In thatcase, there has been a legal void in society.About indemnification has been stipulated in LAW 31/2014 on the amendmentto LAW 13/2006 on the protection of witnesses and victims. These settings do notinclude a change-loss setting against psychological impacts. In connection withthis, it is necessary to put into issue the urgency of compensation settings for victims of rape against psychological impacts. The research methods in this study include the type of normative research using legal approaches, approach concepts and philosophical approaches. Research isconducted by examining the library material, consisting of basic, secondary andtertiary materials.Indemnity for victims of rape against psychological impacts need to bepublished immediately. Therefore, to the Government to immediately make changesto LAW No. 31/2014 on the protection of witnesses and victims. Changes are also made to Government Regulation No. 7/2018 about the granting of compensation,restitution and assistance to the witnesses and victims. Changes to the legislation byincluding the psychological impact material of rape victims.
